El Proyecto de Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos is now a popular holiday. Today people in the US celebrate it on October 31st to the Second of November. We use these days to mourn all the people and family members that have died. In Mexico, they celebrate their dead by playing music, food, and dancing. Today, they celebrate Dia de los Muertos by making the little altars and putting photos of the deceased loved one on them. Also included on the altar's are flower's and candle to light their way home. They even have taken it so far as to paint our faces as skull's. We are not the first humans to have lost beloved people. The question is, has it always been this way? Who started this tradition? How has it varied over the tears? To answer these questions we have to go back in time. All the way back to the Aztecs. Back 700 years ago. The Aztec's are no different from the rest of us. Death was a common thing back then as well. we are not strangers to death. When someone died back then, the Aztecs would offer water and food to the deceased to help them on their journey to the land of the dead. They believed that the dead had to journey to Chicunamictlán, the Land of the Dead. Now we have included these traditions in our holidays. We didn't create the holiday but we have included it to our long list of holiday's.

Sopa de pollo y frijoles de garbanzo

Sopa de pollo y frijoles de garbanzo
La sopa está muy bien. Soy de Costa Rica.
Ingredientes:
- ½ pimiento rojo y picado
- ½ cebolla blanca o amarilla y picada
- 2 dientes de ajo
- ½ racimo de cilantro picado
- 5 tazas caldo de pollo
- 1 cucharada sal
- 1 cucharadita ketchup
- 1 cucharada mantequilla o el aceite de oliva
- 2 latas de garbanzos
- 1 lata de tomate picado
- 1 libra pollo cocido en tiras
Direcciones:
- En una sartén grande, calienta la mantequilla.
- Añade cebollas y pimiento rojo y ajo hasta cocinado.
- Añade pollo y una taza de caldo de pollo y sal y hierve a fuego lento.
- En una batidora eléctrica, añade una lata de tomate y una taza de caldo de pollo y ketchup.
- Mezcla hasta que esté listo.
- Añade el sartén con pollo
- Añade una lata de garbanzo y revuelve.
- Hierve
